#cEconomy - The iPhone "Economy" Twitter app
The iPhone Economy app gives you a snapshot of the US economy.
The app also auto-generates Twitter post-text about the latest economic news and lets you post these tweets with the tap of a button.
The app creates a community/group of iPhone Twitter Economy app users with the #cEconomy hashtag.
The iPhone Economy app was ranked (by Apple) as the #1 paid app in the app store "Finance" category in the July/August 2009 timeframe.
It was also featured in Apple's (iTunes) "STAFF FAVORITES" section.
Twitter features include:
- AutoGeneration of Economic Twitter-Post text on the latest economic indicators (e.g. GDP, Housing Starts, Health Insurance coverage etc.)
- Tweet includes text on how the latest values of economic indicators compare with the past (e.g the current unemployment rate and how it compares with last month's rate and last year's rate)
- OAuth login for privacy and security, so the app doesn't see, get or save your password. This is probably the first iPhone app that uses OAuth login to post tweets.
- Requires explicit user action (tap of a button) for posting tweets, autogenerated twitter post-text may be edited by the user.
Standard, unedited posts from the app are tagged with the #cEconomy hashtag.
User-edited posts from the app are tagged with the #CEconomy hashtag.
